Kathmandu: Nepal suffered its third consecutive defeat in the practice match before the ICC ODI World Cup qualifiers. This is Nepal's third consecutive loss in the practice match after losing to UAE by 3 wickets.
The target of 277 runs given by Nepal was found by UAE by losing 7 wickets in 5 balls in 49 overs. After winning the toss and batting first, Nepal scored 276 runs in 5 balls after winning the toss in yesterday's match in Harare, Zimbabwe. Now Nepal will play against Oman tomorrow in the last practice match.
Earlier in the practice match in South Africa, Nepal lost against Scotland and Netherlands. Group 'A' of the World Cup Qualifying Tournament consists of Nepal, West Indies, Zimbabwe, USA and Netherlands.
Similarly, in group 'B' there are Ireland, Sri Lanka, UAE, Scotland and Oman. The tournament will be held in Zimbabwe from June 3rd to 24th. The top three teams from both groups will advance to the Super Six.
In the Super Six, there will be a competition with three teams from the other group. The top two teams will then qualify for the World Cup.
